Purpose: To evaluate the changes in corneal biomechanical properties and tear film layer analysis after upper eyelid blepharoplasty surgery.
Method: Sixty eyes of 30 patients were included in our prospective study. Corneal hysteresis (CH), corneal resistance factor (CRF), corneal compensated intraocular pressure (IOPcc) and Goldmann intraocular pressure (IOPg) measurements were taken with the Ocular Response Analyzer (ORA) device at the preoperative, postoperative 1st and 3rd months.
Background/aim: The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the reasons for eye evisceration surgeries performed from 2005 to 2013 in our clinic.
Materials And Methods: The medical records of patients who underwent evisceration surgery over the past 9 years were retrospectively evaluated. Detailed data were reviewed, with a focus on the first precipitating factor for evisceration.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate corneal parameters obtained by Scheimpflug imaging of dermatochalasis patients both preoperatively and after blepharoplasty.
Materials And Methods: Sixty eyes of 30 patients (22 female, 8 male), which were operated upon for the upper eyelid, were included in the study. Patients were divided into two groups according to preoperative upper margin reflex distance (MRD): MRD < 2.
Ligneous conjunctivitis (LC) is a rare form of bilateral chronic recurrent disease in which thick membranes form on the palpebral conjunctiva and other mucosal sites. We report the clinical features and describe the management of two cases. Case 1 was an 8-month-old patient with bilateral membranous conjunctivitis.

Histopathological features of the surgical eyelid specimens from patients with involutional ectropion and entropion were evaluated.
Design: Prospective histopathological study.
Purpose: We aimed to report our observation regarding the long-term follow-up results of 2 cases with similar ophthalmic manifestations of 2 different porphyrias, congenital erythropoietic porphyria (CEP), and porphyria cutanea tarda (PCT).
Methods: Both patients presented with ocular pain and photophobia in both eyes. The patient with CEP had a scleral necrosis of 3 mm in diameter at the lateral limbus of the right eye and medial limbus of the left eye, accompanied with cicatricial ectropion and lid swelling OU.
Aims: To investigate the efficacy and safety of postoperative topical cyclosporine A 0.05% (tCsA) (Restasis, Allergan Pharmaceutical) eye drops in preventing the recurrence of pterygium.
Methods: 31 patients with bilateral pterygium were examined between January 2006 and February 2007.
