Aim This study evaluated the prognostic ability of the APACHE II score and compared it with inflammatory indices in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).Material and Methods A total of 525 patients with ACS were retrospectively enrolled in the study. Systemic amyloid light-chain (AL) amyloidosis is caused by deposition of immunoglobulin light-chain proteins. AL amyloidosis is a rapidly progressive disease that affects multiple organs. Cardiac involvement is frequent (50%) and the median survival is 5 months following diagnosis.
