Objectives: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, identified as an ESKAPE pathogen, contributes to severe clinical diseases worldwide and despite its prevalence an effective vaccine or treatment remains elusive. Experts have worked to establish the source, track and analyse the disease, and produce treatment and preventative guidelines. Inactivated vaccines have little evidence of efficacy compared to mRNA and adenoviral vector vaccines; however, three doses of both mRNA and inactivated vaccines appear to provide significant and lasting protection against severe disease and mortality.
