Lichen-associated endophytic Actinobacteria, particularly Streptomyces species, are recognized for their production of bioactive secondary metabolites with significant pharmaceutical potential. With the escalating prevalence of diseases, Streptomyces species are being investigated for its natural source of antimicrobial compounds for new antibiotics. This study focuses on the bioactive properties of secondary metabolites from lichen-associated endophytic Actinobacteria, focusing on Streptomyces glaucescens NTSB-37 isolated form lichen, Parmotrema perlatum (Huds.

Herein, a cyclometalated iridium complex-based activatable photodynamic molecular hybrid, Cy-Ir-7-nitrobenzofurazan (NBD), is demonstrated as a biomedicine for molecular precision. This design integrates a hydrogen sulfide (HS)-responsive NBD unit with a hydroxy-appended iridium complex, Cy-Ir-OH.

This study aimed to analyze intermodality variation for gross tumor volume (GTV) delineation in locally advanced oropharyngeal carcinomas (LAOCs).
Methods And Materials: We examined the pretreatment contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and fluoro-deoxy-glucose-based positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) image data sets of 33 adult patients with primary LAOC.
Due to morphological convergence and the application of numerous taxonomic concepts, the systematics of filamentous cyanobacteria is still a significant problem. The incorporation and integration of modern molecular, cyto-morphological and ecological approaches in cyanobacterial taxonomy are essential and must be acknowledged as the valid methods for the development of their modern systematics. In this study, method of using 16S rRNA gene sequences to infer the genetic relationships of twelve freshwater cyanobacterial isolates amongst themselves was evaluated.
