Fetal hemolysis is caused by maternal antibodies that cross the placenta. Anti-M antibodies can rarely cause severe forms of alloimmunization in the fetus and newborn. We present a case of severe anti-M alloimmunization requiring a total of 8 intrauterine transfusions, in a patient with a prior poor obstetrical history.

Aims: To evaluate the effect of metformin and insulin in glycemic control and compare pregnancy outcome in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
Methods: This randomized controlled trial was conducted in GDM women with singleton pregnancy and gestational age between 20 and 34 weeks who did not achieve glycemic control on diet were assigned randomly to receive either metformin (n=80) or insulin (n=80). The primary outcomes were maternal glycemic control and birth weight.
Intravenous hydralazine is a commonly administered arteriolar vasodilator that is effective for hypertensive emergencies associated with pregnancy. Oral nifedipine is an alternative in management of these patients. In this study the efficacy of nifedipine and hydralazine in pregnancy was compared in a group of Iranian patients.
