Introduction: Persistent Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection is linked to 99% of cervical cancer (CC) cases. HPV types 16 and 18 alone result in 75% of CC cases and thus are considered to be high-risk types (HR-HPV). CC is the third most common cancer among women globally.

Aim: To examine the effect of weight-loss induced bariatric procedures on albuminuria levels among diabetic patients suffering from obesity.
Methods: Adults patients who suffer from morbid obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) were included in a prospective cohort study. Subjects were scheduled to undergo laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) or one-anastomosis gastric bypass (OAGB).
The new anionic nickelate complexes [(MeCN)Ni(CF)(CF)], [(MeCN)Ni(CF)(CF)], [(IMes)Ni(CF)(CF)], [(IMes)Ni(CF)] (IMes = 1,3-bis(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene), and [(F-NHC)Ni(R)] (F-NHC = 1,3-bis(2,4-FPh), 2,4,6-FPh- or 3,4,5-FPh)imidazol-2-ylidene; (R = CF or CF) were synthesized and structurally characterized. The electrochemical properties of all new compounds were revealed by cyclic voltammetry studies and compared to the known CF analogue [(MeCN)Ni(CF)]. The IMes-coordinated complexes exhibited initial oxidation events that were well-separated from a second oxidation process in the cyclic voltammograms.

As cognitive deficits in this disorder are typically associated with changes in cortical metabolic levels, we investigated here whether an NVHL affects metabolic responses to ventral tegmental area (VTA) activation, a procedure that elicits abnormal cell firing in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) of NVHL animals.
Methods: Prefrontal cortex metabolic activity was determined by measuring cytochrome oxidase I (CO-I) staining.
