In this paper, a novel phononic crystal fiber with conical input is introduced for coupling environmental acoustic waves to the fiber core. Environmental acoustic waves can be focused and coupled to the core through conical input. In the first step, a cone shape coupler has been considered for coupling the incident acoustic waves to the core region.

In this investigation, a phononic crystal-based fiber is proposed for energy harvesting application in metalworking factories. Phononic crystal plays the role of cladding in elastic fiber structure. Each of single-core fibers includes a tungsten hollow cylinder in central region which its internal radius is different in three single-core fibers.
