Introduction: People's understanding of bladder stones has a long history. Since around the sixth century BC, surgery has been selected as the most specialized and last treatment and has continuously evolved. Meanwhile, many missing links have sometimes been a turning point in bladder stone surgery.

Methods: In this study 28 male Wistar rats were divided into four groups of control, sham, I/R24h+PBS, and I/R24h+AD-MSC.
Introduction: The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of cold dialysis on fatigue in hemodialysis patients.
Materials And Methods: In a double-blinded cross-over clinical trial, 46 participants were recruited from a hemodialysis unit in Iran. The participants were allocated into 2 groups through simple random sampling method.
Introduction: C-reactive protein (CRP) is increased among patients on maintenance hemodialysis. Such inflammatory markers can result in protein-energy deficit syndromes and low adequacy of dialysis in these patients. This study evaluated the effect of pentoxifylline on serum CRP level and KT/V in end-stage renal disease patients on maintenance hemodialysis.

Materials And Methods: Fifty-one women on hemodialysis and 9 with chronic kidney disease stage 5 were randomly assigned to receive oral raloxifene, 60 mg/d, or placebo for 8 months. Baseline blood determinations and BMD were done and repeated after 8 months.
The present survey aims at studying the opinions of three famous medical scholars in history (Rhazes, Avicinna, and Jorjani) on the diagnosis of diseases via urine examination and their compatiblity with modern science. Refering to original authentic sources in traditional medicine, including Al-Hawi (The Virtuous Life), Zakhireh-i Kharazmshahi (Thesaurus of the Shah of Khwarazm), and Al-Canon fi al Tibb (The Canon on Medicine), we compared the ideas of the authors with modern medicine. In traditional medicine, physicians would pay attention to the methods of urine collection and urinary features such as color, consistency, volume, frequency, odor, and foam as the means of diagnosis, all of which still serve as the bases for today's diagnostic approach.

Due to complications of hypnotic medications, considering effective nonpharmacological methods to improve sleep quality is important. This study has conducted to determine the effect of a sleep hygiene training program on sleep quality of hemodialysis patients.

In the recent years, many drugs have been proposed for its treatment which have had paradoxical outcomes. We studied the antipruritus effect of montelukast sodium, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, in patients on hemodialysis.
