Background: Extra-spinal osseous hydatid disease is reported in a small number of case series. In the present study, we report our experience with extra-spinal hydatid disease of the bone in a series of nine patients.
Methods: In this retrospective study, the patients who were diagnosed with an extra-spinal osseous hydatid disease were included.
Complex metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint dislocation is an uncommon entity, which occurs following a hyperextension injury. Closed reduction is not feasible due to entrapped volar plate and/or coexisting fractures. Various approaches and techniques have been proposed for treatment of complex MCP dislocation; however, controversies exist over which one is superior.

In this study, we compared surgical complications, postoperative pain, and functional outcome in a series of patients who had undergone a type III internal hemipelvectomy with or without bony reconstruction.
Methods: In a retrospective cohort study, 32 patients who had undergone a type III hemipelvectomy with or without allograft reconstruction (n = 15 and n = 17, respectively) were reviewed.
Objective: The role of vitamin D in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA) is not well understood. In this study, we aimed to investigate the association of serum vitamin D with the serum cytokine profile in patients with primary knee OA.
Design: In a cross-sectional study, 116 patients with radiologic diagnosis of grade I to III knee OA were included.
Purpose: For the treatment of giant cell tumour of the bone (GCTB) around the knee, preserving the native joint confers advantages over scarifying it. But, there is a controversy about the efficacy of intralesional curettage versus en bloc resection for treatment of such lesions. In this study, we compared local recurrence, functional outcomes, and complications of extended curettage and en bloc resection in these lesions.
