Local Single-Dose Teriparatide Administration for BRONJ Prevention: Insights from a Rat Model Study.

Background: Bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ) presents significant clinical challenges with uncertain treatment outcomes. Teriparatide, a fragment of human parathyroid hormone, shows potential in prevention strategies for BRONJ.

Objective: This study investigates the impact of a single local dose of teriparatide on BRONJ prevention in an animal model.

Knowledge, attitude, and expertise of nurses in intensive care unit regarding oral and dental care in hospitalized patients.

Background: The purpose of this study was conducted to evaluate the knowledge, attitude, and practice of intensive care unit (ICU) nurses about oral and dental care in hospitalized patients.

Materials And Methods: In this descriptive-analytic study, the statistical population included 214 nurses working in the ICU of the affiliated hospitals of Isfahan University in 1394. The level of knowledge, attitude, and practice of ICU nurses was assessed using questionnaires whose justifiability and stability were verified at the beginning of the study with a pilot study.

Evaluation of Salivary Helicobacter pylori, Calcium, Urea, pH and Flow Rate in Hemodialysis Patients.

Background: Helicobacter pylori infection is identified as a major cause of stomach ulcers, chronic inflammation and gastric cancer in hemodialysis patients. Dialysis also leads to changes in the composition and flow of saliva.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the salivary Helicobacter pylori infection, Calcium, Urea, pH and flow rate in hemodialysis patients in comparison to the healthy control group.
