Antibiotic pollutants are a serious and growing threat to human health and the environment that efficient measures must be taken to eliminate them. Here, we report the facile fabrication of porous hollow Ag/AgS/AgPO heterostrucutres for efficient photocatalytic degradation of tetracycline under simulated sunlight irradiation. The morphology manipulation and hetero-nanocomposites construction through a coprecipitation-refluxing approach were applied to enhance the photocatalytic performance of the Ag/AgS/AgPO products.

This work shows that by controlling the reaction conditions such as kind of polybasic acids, gelling agents, pH and mole ratio of polybasic acid to total metals, the CuBiO/BiClO nanocomposites with ultrafine sphere-like, irregular polyhedral-like, plate-like and cubic-like morphologies were prepared. The phase, elemental composition, morphology and optical characteristics of as-synthesized CuBiO/BiClO nanostructures were analyzed utilizing UV-Vis, FESEM, TEM, HRTEM, FT-IR, XRD, TOC and EDS techniques.

On immersing a prepared CuO film into a solution containing 0.1 g Zn(acac)₂ in 20 mL EG for 8 h, ZnO flower-like microstructures composed of hierarchical three-dimensional (3D) aggregated nanoparticles and spherical architectures were spontaneously formed at 100 °C.

In the present study, 0-D Te nanostructures including rice-like and spherical nanoparticles with the particle size of 15-40nm were successfully synthesized via a facile sonochemical method. In the absence of ultrasonic irradiation nanorods were produced while performing the reaction under ultrasonic waves (at 200W for 30min) led to the formation of nanoparticles.

The as-synthesized nanostructured copper chromite was analyzed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis (EDX), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA simple and low-cost route to fabricate durable superhydrophobic magnetic polyurethane sponge was obtained by immersing a polyurethane sponge in a colloidal suspension of straw soot and magnetic nanoparticles. The as prepared sponge was used for separation of oil/water mixture. XRD, FT-IR, VSM, SEM and contact angle measurement analysis were used for characterization the materials.
