Mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) effectively treat anxiety symptoms across different anxiety and related disorders (ARDs), including panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we investigate whether MBIs also lead to improvements in the quality of life (QoL) of patients with ARDs. A systematic review was performed through electronic search in PUBMED, PsycINFO, Embase, Web of Science, and Clinical Trials databases.

Pregnancy loss and stillbirth are complex reproductive traits that do not yet have their genomic background fully understood, especially in zebu breeds (Bos taurus indicus). Hence, this study aimed to perform a genome-wide association study (GWAS) and functional annotation for conception success (CS), pregnancy loss (PL), stillbirth (SB), and pre-weaning calf mortality (PWM) in Nellore cattle.

Objective: We evaluated the effects of individual and combined administration of the three most widely consumed psychoactive substances in the world, ethanol, caffeine, and nicotine, on dopaminergic neurotransmission in three brain regions of rats related to addiction: the prefrontal cortex (PFC), the nucleus accumbens (NAcc), and the dorsal striatum.
Methods: The dopamine levels were measured in vivo by cerebral microdialysis associated with HPLC-ED.
Background: Proteomics and metabolomics offer substantial potential for advancing kidney transplant research by providing versatile opportunities for gaining insights into the biomolecular processes occurring in donors, recipients, and grafts. To achieve this, adequate quality and numbers of biological samples are required. Whilst access to donor samples is facilitated by initiatives such as the QUOD biobank, an adequately powered biobank allowing exploration of recipient-related aspects in long-term transplant outcomes is missing.

We designed a prospective phase I study to evaluate the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of SBRT for thoracic re-irradiation, for peripheral lung lesions. RT was delivered with a dose escalation design from 30 Gy in five fractions up to 50 Gy in five fractions.

We report the results of a single prospective observational phase II trial on ablative SBRT for medically inoperable thoracic nodes metastases (NCT02970955).
Material And Methods: Since 2017, patients with < 3 nodal metastases were evaluated by the tumor board and included if deemed inoperable.
Background: This systematic review examined the existing literature to determine the evidence supporting the efficacy of online group treatments for anxiety-, obsessive-compulsive- and trauma-related disorders (AOTDs).
Methods: A systematic review using the PUBMED, PsycInfo, Web of Science, and ClinicalTrials databases with no language, date, or study design filters was performed. The inclusion criteria comprised studies that examined individuals who had received a formal diagnosis of AOTDs, were aged 18 years or older, and had baseline and endpoint assessments of symptom severity using formal tools.
In beef cattle, the selection for higher weights at young ages has been questioned with the argument that this criterion may increase the adult weight of cows, resulting in higher costs. Therefore, selection criteria should be employed to increase weights at young ages with minimal impact on the adult weight of cows. Additionally, the relationship between measures of cow production efficiency and other well-established selection criteria in breeding programs remains poorly understood.

Recent researches assessed the possibility of irradiating only the surgical bed in selected patients (Partial Breast Irradiation, PBI). In 2014 we designed a study to evaluate toxicity and cosmesis of APBI using Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy-Rapid Arc compared with hypofractionated whole breast irradiation (WBI).

The aim of this study is to evaluate toxicity and efficacy of SABR in oligometastatic STS.
Materials And Methods: This is a retrospective multicenter study including adult patients affected by stage IV STS, treated with SABR for a maximum of 5 cranial or extracranial metastases in up to 3 different organs.
Background: In 2016 we published a phase II study exploring safety and efficacy of Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) delivered with Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) and Flattening Filter Free (FFF) beams techniques in prostate cancer (PC) patients. We present herein the updated results on late toxicity and long-term survival.
Methods: Patients enrolled in the study had a biopsy-confirmed localized PC and the features of a low- or intermediate-risk disease (National Comprehensive Network Criteria).
Purpose: The organ perfusion solution (perfusate), collected at clinically and temporally significant stages of the organ preservation and transplantation process, provides a valuable insight into the biological status of an organ over time and prior to reperfusion (transplantation) in the recipient. The objective of this study was to assess two bottom-up proteomics workflows for the extraction of tryptic peptides from the perfusate.
Experimental Design: Two different kinds of perfusate samples from kidney and liver trials were profiled using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).

The COVID-19 pandemic has emerged as a worldwide public health crisis, leading to significant disruptions in societal behaviors and norms. Within the affected population, individuals with mental health disorders are considered a vulnerable group, experiencing higher infection rates and poorer outcomes. These adverse outcomes can be attributed to various factors, including inadequate adherence to vaccination and other preventive measures.

The dopamine levels were measured by in vivo cerebral microdialysis coupled to HPLC-ED. Nicardipine (L-type VSCC antagonist) or ω-conotoxin MVIIC (non-selective P/Q-type antagonist) had no effect on dopamine release induced by 5 mM GLY.

The aim of this study was to identify novel predictive factors for OPCa patients who underwent metastases-directed therapy.
Materials And Methods: This monocentre, retrospective study included consecutive OPCa patients with a maximum of five metastases in up to two organs, detected with choline- or PSMA-positron emission tomography, who were treated with metastases-directed stereotactic body radiation therapy.
Static Cold Storage (SCS) injures the bile duct, while the effect of Normothermic Machine Perfusion (NMP) is unknown. In a sub-study of the COPE trial on liver NMP, we investigated the impact of preservation type on histological bile duct injury score (BDIS). Transplants with at least one bile duct biopsy, either at end of preservation or 1 h post-reperfusion, were considered.

The objective of this study was to estimate genetic parameters for traits related to animal temperament and growth traits of Nellore cattle. In addition to exploring the genetic pattern of these traits through cluster and principal component analysis (PCA), to reveal possible groups of individuals that express less excitable temperament and greater growth.

In Southern Italy, many of the local and/or neglected varieties are abandoned and at risk of extinction due to the high degree of urbanization and agricultural intensification, despite their value as genetic resources for crop improvement. This research aimed to genetically and morphologically characterize the traditional apricot () and peach () germplasms collected in old family orchards.
