A Study on Nature of Violence Against Doctors in Tertiary Care Centers in Karnataka, India: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Background: Over the previous decades, violence against physicians has risen. To comprehend the issue connected with it, we need to know the nature of violence and doctor's views on the current state of safety at their disposal. The purpose of the study was to assess the incidence and nature of violence against doctors in tertiary health care centers in Karnataka, India.

Occurrence and Distribution of Cancers with Emphasis Upon Oral Cancers in Registered Oncology Institutes of South India - A Retrospective Study.

Background: In the past two decades, the growing economy associated with changes in lifestyle-related behavior is partially responsible for the increasing cancer burden in India. To assess the occurrence and distribution of oral cancer based on the analysis of hospital records from registered oncology institutes of South India over a period of three years.

Materials And Methods: A multicenter, retrospective study was conducted at seven major hospitals in South India to assess the incidence and distribution of cancer among patients over a period of three years (2016-2018).

Prevalence and determinants of oral potentially malignant disorders in rural areas of South India.

Purpose: Oral potentially malignant disorders are associated with a risk of undergoing malignant transformation and a concomitant increase in morbidity and mortality. Moreover, epidemiological studies, especially from rural areas, are important in assessing their prevalence and the identification of determinants of these disorders so that preventive strategies can be employed in tackling them.

Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted based on guidelines of the World Health Organization's Guide Epidemiology and Diagnosis of Oral Mucosal Disease and Conditions 1995 in rural areas of south India.

Effectiveness of mouthrinses in prevention and treatment of radiation induced mucositis: A systematic review.

Mucositis is a frequent, severe consequence of radiation therapy among patients undergoing radiotherapy for the head-and-neck cancer, often requiring hospitalization and even breaks or discontinuity in treatment. Mouth rinsing with various agents has demonstrated effectiveness in the prevention and treatment of radiation-induced mucositis (OM), but evidence for the same is lacking. This systematic review is therefore conducted with the aim of assessing the evidence for the effectiveness of mouthrinses in prevention and treatment of OM.

Orofacial conditions and their relation to the sense of coherence among participants afflicted with leprosy in West Bengal State: A cross-sectional study.

Introduction: Traumatic orofacial injuries are frequent among hockey players, often causing aesthetic, functional, psychological, and economic problems. Background: Early childhood caries is a public health problem that continues to affect babies and preschool children worldwide. This untreated caries process results in progressive destruction of the crowns of the teeth, often accompanied by severe pain and suffering, affecting the quality of life. Fluoride varnish which is one of the most important materials to prevent ECC is easy to apply and well tolerated by children.

CAMBRA as a Tool for Caries Risk Prediction Among 12- to 13-year-old Institutionalised Children - A Longitudinal Follow-up Study.

Purpose: To evaluate CAMBRA (Caries Management by Risk Assessment) as a tool for caries risk prediction among 12- to 13-year-old institutionalised children and to validate it against the new increment of caries lesions.

Materials And Methods: A longitudinal follow-up study was conducted among 72 institutionalised children. Baseline data were collected in the month of August, 2011.

Material And Methods: A longitudinal observational study of 153 newly diagnosed subjects who had hypothyroidism (n = 107) or hyperthyroidism (n = 46), aged 18-45 years, fulfilling the inclusion/exclusion criteria was conducted.
