Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the track and field elite athletes' coaches' perspectives and experiences regarding their athletes' osteopathic treatments to contribute to the development of integrated management models based on their expectations and experiences.
Methods: Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data from Italian elite athletes' coaches enrolled in the study. An inductive analysis of the interviews was conducted using a descriptive phenomenological methodology.
Background And Objectives: Despite widespread osteopathic intervention, elite athletes' preferences for osteopathic care remain unclear, with limited evidence on musculoskeletal management. This study aimed to investigate elite track and field athletes' perspectives on their experiences of osteopathic treatment to inform the development of integrated models of care.
Methods: Purposive sampling was used during the enrolment phase.
To accurately detect infections in Diabetic Foot Ulcers (DFUs) using photographs taken at the Point of Care (POC). Achieving high performance is critical for preventing complications and amputations, as well as minimizing unnecessary emergency department visits and referrals. This paper proposes the Guided Conditional Diffusion Classifier (ConDiff).

Characterizing network-level rhythmic dynamics over multiple spatio-temporal scales can significantly advance our understanding of brain cognitive function and information processing. In this research, we propose a new switching state space model called latent dynamical coherence model or briefly LDCM. In the LDCM, we develop model inference and parameter estimation solutions that facilitate studying network-level rhythmic dynamics at scales.

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) on discomforts occurring after the mandibular wisdom tooth removal.
Materials And Methods: This double-blind, split-mouth design, randomized clinical trial study was performed on 36 healthy controls with bilateral symmetrical mandibular third molar referred to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Dental Faculty from January to November 2019.
Background And Objectives: Silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) are potent antimicrobial agents, which have recently been used in dentistry. The aim of the current study was to optimize antimicrobial activity of Ag-NPs used in preparing irreversible hydrocolloid impressions against three microorganisms of and
Materials And Methods: After assessing antimicrobial activity of the compound using disk diffusion method, three parameters of concentration of Ag-NPs (250-1000 ppm), ratio of hydrocolloid impression material powder to water (0.30-0.
Background And Objectives: In recent decades, enterococcal resistance to antimicrobials has greatly increased. Furthermore, these chemicals include several side effects on the patients. Since no reports are available of the bacteriophages' effects on eukaryotic cells, they can be good solutions for multidrug-resistant bacterial problems.

Time- and frequency-domain studies of EEG signals are most commonly employed to study the electrical activities of the brain in order to diagnose potential neurological disorders. In this work, we applied the global coherence approach to help estimating the neural synchrony across multiple nodes in the brain, prior and during a seizure. The ratio of the largest eigenvalue to the sum of the eigenvalues of the cross spectral matrix at a certain frequency and time allowed detecting a strong coordinated neural activity in alpha sub-band for the frontal lobe epilepsy.

Characterizing coordinated brain dynamics present in high-density neural recordings is critical for understanding the neurophysiology of healthy and pathological brain states and to develop principled strategies for therapeutic interventions. In this research, we propose a new modeling framework called State Space Global Coherence (SSGC), which allows us to estimate neural synchrony across distributed brain activity with fine temporal resolution. In this modeling framework, the cross-spectral matrix of neural activity at a specific frequency is defined as a function of a dynamical state variable representing a measure of Global Coherence (GC); we then combine filter-smoother and Expectation-Maximization (EM) algorithms to estimate GC and the model parameters.

Background: Boophilus annulatus is an obligate blood feeder tick that can cause great losses in animals due to anemia and its ability to injure its host skin directly. The aim of this study was identification of cattle humoral immune response to some tick proteins during experimental infestation.
Methods: Immune sera against tick were collected from experimentally infested cattle with ticks.

In this study, phenotypic and genotypic resistance in 192 pig isolates of enterococci to ampicillin, avilamycin, avoparcin, bacitracin, flavophospholipol, gentamicin, narasin, tetracycline, tiamulin, tylosin, vancomycin, virginiamycin, copper and zinc were investigated by susceptibility test and molecular methods. Resistance rates varied between the species but all isolates were susceptible to ampicillin, avilamycin, avoparcin, gentamicin and narasin but resistant to tetracycline and tylosin and intermediately resistant to copper.
