Preadsorbed Chymotrypsin Modulated the Composition of Protein Corona and Immunological Response.

It is well-known that proteins after administration into biological environments adsorb on the surface of nanoparticles (NPs). The biological identity could be determined by protein corona, but whether and how the preadsorbed molecules impact the composition of the corona and immunological response have rarely been reported. Here, the effects of preadsorbed chymotrypsin (Chy) on forming protein corona and subsequent immunological response are reported.

To explore the mechanism of action of appling Radix Ginseng and Semen Ziziphi Spinosae Drug pair (R-S) in the treatment of insomnia by investigating the effect of R-S on GLU/GABA-GLN metabolic cycle and intestinal microflora of rats with insomnia. Rats were intraperitoneally injected with 4-chloro-DL-phenylalanine (PCPA) to make sleep deprivation (SD) models. The rats were divided into 6 groups, with 8 rats in each group.

Accumulation and distribution of neurotoxin BMAA in aquatic animals and effect on the behavior of zebrafish in a T-maze test.

Neurotoxin β-N-methylamino-L-alanine (BMAA) has been widely detected in diverse aquatic organisms within different ecosystem trophic levels in recent years. It was the goal of this study to investigate the accumulation and tissue distribution of BMAA in marine opossum shrimp (Neomysis awatschensis) and freshwater zebrafish (Danio rerio) in exposure experiments. A T-maze test was tentatively adopted to assess the effects of BMAA on the learning and memory ability of zebrafish.

Comparison of Bran-Processed and Crude Effects on Spleen Deficiency Syndrome in Rats.

Background: The rhizome of (AL) is usually used for the treatment of various diseases such as spleen deficiency syndrome (SDS). Both bran-processed and crude AL is included in Chinese Pharmacopoeia. The different efficacies of bran-processed and crude AL on SDS are largely unknown, and the mechanisms of AL effects have not been fully elucidated.
