Article Synopsis
  • Researchers studied how a substance called astragalin can help fight lung cancer cells.
  • They used different tests to see how astragalin affects the cells, including whether it makes them die and if it can stop them from moving and spreading.
  • The results showed that astragalin helps kill cancer cells and may be useful for treating lung cancer, but more studies on living organisms are needed.

Objective: Circular RNA_0001946 (circ_0001946) inhibits tumor progression but promotes chemosensitivity in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC); however, its correlation with tumor features and prognosis in NSCLC patients is still unclear; therefore, this study aimed to investigate these issues.

Methods: A total of 284 NSCLC patients were retrospectively analyzed. Circ_0001946 expression in tumor (n = 284) and adjacent (n = 125) tissues was detected by the reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction.

Background: This study aimed to explore the correlation of integrin-α7 (ITGA7) with common cancer stem cell marker (CD44 and CD133) expressions, clinicopathological characteristics and survival profiles in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.

Methods: Two hundred and seventy NSCLC patients who underwent resection were reviewed in this study and the expressions of ITGA7, CD44 and CD133 were detected using immunohistochemistry (IHC) assay in tumor tissue specimens. The clinical data (including age, gender, pathological grade, tumor size, lymph node metastasis (LYN), and TNM stage), survival data [including disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS)] were collected.
