Article Synopsis
  • The onboard system is used to store airborne radar data due to the slow air-to-ground data transfer rates, but traditional file management has issues.
  • Frequent updates to the file allocation table (FAT) and the file directory table (FDT) cause slow response times due to address jumps, and inconsistent update frequencies lead to uneven wear on data storage areas.
  • A new file management method has been proposed to optimize data writing across the FAT, FDT, and data region, resulting in reduced update frequencies and improved wear leveling, as demonstrated by actual measurements on a storage system.

Because of the spin-less nature of sound, acoustic helical wave with different helical directions can be taken as a "spin-like" degree of freedom. In this Letter, we examine the pseudospin-orbit coupling effect in acoustics when an acoustic helical wave emitter interacts with the acoustic hyperbolic metamaterial (AHMM). The acoustic helical wave emitter is situated at the boundary of the AHMM, which gives rise to the unidirectional excitation with the trajectory controlled by the helical directions, and hence the acoustic spin Hall-like effect (ASHE) is observed.
