As the world's largest electricity-consuming country, China faces the challenge of energy conservation and environmental pollution. Therefore, it is imperative that China takes decisive action to address these issues. Based on the panel data of 30 provinces (cities, districts) in China from 2011 to 2020, we use the entropy method to measure the air pollution index in different provinces, construct two fixed effects models, panel quantile model, and spatial Durbin model to empirically analyze the impact of electricity consumption on air pollution in China's provincial regions.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the effects of Zhongfeng capsule on proteins related to autophagy in rats suffering from cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury (CI/RI), aiming to understand its protective mechanisms for neural health.
  • A total of 60 male SD rats were divided into different treatment groups, including a sham operation group and various Zhongfeng capsule dosage groups, and were treated by gavage for 10 days before their brain tissue was analyzed.
  • Results showed that the high-dose Zhongfeng capsule group led to improved body weight, reduced neurological deficit scores, and alleviated brain tissue damage compared to the model group, indicating potential neuroprotective effects of the capsule.

Introduction: Approaches to the jugular foramen can be challenging. Adding to this difficulty is the potential for a bony septation to occur in the foramen thus subdividing its contents. Although such bony septations in the jugular foramen are known, the anatomic details of these structures have not been studied well.

To investigate the molecular protective mechanisms of Huangqi decoction inhibiting the apoptosis of renal cells in the C radiation brain model rats. Fifty Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups: normal control group, radiation alone model group, Huangqi decoction (high-dose, middle-dose and low-dose ) groups. The normal control group and the radiation alone group were treated with saline10 ml/(kg·d) by gavage, the Huangqi decoction treatment groups were treated with Huangqi decoction at the doses of 4.

To study the effects of Youguiwan on the osteoglycin (OGN), osteonectin (ON), fibrinogen 2 (FBN2) of articular cartilage tissue in the model of knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Sixty SD rats were randomly divided into six groups: sham control group, model group, glucosamine sulfate group, Youguiwan (high-dose, middle-dose and low-dose )group. The modified Hulth method was used to establish KOA models for 6 weeks.

Aim: Norcantharidin (NCTD) has been used as a clinical antineoplastic drug in China for several years, and diamminedichloroplatinum is a valuable clinical cancer chemotherapy agent. Here, we tried to investigate the effects of NCTD plus diamminedichloroplatinum on hepatic carcinoma in murine.

Materials And Methods: In vivo and in vitro investigations on anticancer effects of the two drugs were individually made.

Objectives: To observe the effects of Yougui pill (Traditional Chinese Medicine) on the related factors of Wnt signal pathway of rats with knee osteoarthritis (KOA), and explore its protective mechanism.

Methods: Sixty SPF SD rats were randomly divided into the sham-operative group, model group, glucosamine sulfate group, high-dose, middle-dose, low-dose of Yougui pill treated group (=10). KOA model was established by modified Hulth method for six weeks.

Cancer vaccines mostly aim to induce cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) against tumors. An appropriate adjuvant is of fundamental importance for inducing cellular immune response. Since the antigen in particulate form is substantially more immunogenic than soluble form antigen, it is beneficial to interact with antigen-presenting cells membrane to induce robust CD8 T cell activation following vaccination.

Tumor growth and metastasis are closely related to angiogenesis. Basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF) is an angiogenic factor, and up-regulated expression of bFGF plays a crucial role in the development and metastasis of melanoma. Therefore, in this study, we sought to achieve antitumor activity by immunity targeting bFGF which would inhibit tumor angiogenesis and simultaneously induce bFGF specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes to kill melanoma cells.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to analyze the chromosome number and karyotype of Gentiana straminea for the first time and compare it to Gentiana macrophylla and Gentiana dahurica, providing insight into genetics and evolution.
  • The research involved treating root tips with a specific chemical solution and enzyme mixture followed by microscopic analysis of the chromosomes to determine their structure.
  • The results revealed that Gentiana straminea has a karyotype formula of K(2n) = 26 with a specified classification, showing that Gentiana macrophylla is the most evolved, while Gentiana straminea is positioned as an intermediate species.
