Activating the lattice oxygen can significantly improve the kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction (OER), however, it often results in reduced stability due to the bulk structure degradation. Here, we develop a spinel FeCoCrO with active lattice oxygen by high-throughput methods, achieving high OER activity and stability, superior to the benchmark IrO. The oxide exhibits an ultralow overpotential (190 mV at 10 mA cm) with outstanding stability for over 170 h at 100 mA cm.

Northeast China's Early Cretaceous Yixian Formation preserves spectacular fossils that have proved extraordinarily important in testing evolutionary hypotheses involving the origin of birds and the distribution of feathers among nonavian dinosaurs. These fossils occur either flattened with soft tissue preservation (including feathers and color) in laminated lacustrine strata or as three-dimensional (3D) skeletons in "life-like" postures in more massive deposits. The relationships of these deposits to each other, their absolute ages, and the origin of the extraordinary fossil preservation have been vigorously debated for nearly a half century, with the prevailing view being that preservation was linked to violent volcanic eruptions or lahars, similar to processes that preserved human remains at Pompeii.

Ocular hemorrhage has been recorded in congenital factor deficiencies like hemophilia A, but it has never been documented in prothrombin deficiency. Here, we describe an unusual case of sudden vision loss in the right eye caused by subretinal hemorrhage following a coughing episode in a 67-year-old woman. Notably, the patient underwent left eye enucleation 12 years previously under similar circumstances due to subretinal hemorrhage.

Even though overexpression of the immune checkpoint protein, programmed cell death ligand-1 (PD-L1), is observed in solid tumors, its expression patterns in acute myeloid leukemia remain understudied. As activation of the JAK/STAT pathway has been shown to enhance PD-L1 expression in preclinical models, we evaluated biopsies from AML patients with activating mutations in JAK2/STATs. PD-L1 expression was significantly upregulated in JAK2/STAT mutant cases when compared to JAK2 wildtype controls as demonstrated by PD-L1 immunohistochemistry staining and quantified using the combined positive score (CPS) system.

Abundant lake ice-rafted debris in Late Triassic and earliest Jurassic strata of the Junggar Basin of northwestern China (paleolatitude ~71°N) indicates that freezing winter temperatures typified the forested Arctic, despite a persistence of extremely high levels of atmospheric co (partial pressure of CO). Antimony sulfoselenide (Sb (S,Se) ) is a promising photoabsorber for stable and high efficiency thin film photovoltaics (PV). The unique quasi-1D (Q1D) crystal structure gives Sb (S,Se) intriguing anisotropic optoelectronic properties, which intrinsically require the optimization of crystal growth orientation, especially for electronic devices with vertical charge transport such as solar cells. Although the efficiency of Sb (S,Se) solar cells has been improved greatly through optimizing the material quality, the fundamental issue of crystal orientation control in polycrystalline films remains unsolved, resulting in charge carrier recombination losses in the device.

The engineering behaviour of ballast is an important factor to determine the stability and safety of railway tracks. This paper examines the stress-strain, shear strength, peak deflection stress and reinforcement strength ratio of different reinforcement materials and reinforcement locations in ballast track bed layers based on large scale static triaxial shear tests. The results show that geogrid and waste tyre reinforcement have a significant effect on the peak deviator stress of railway track bed layers and the stress-strain relationship is strain-hardened.
