Chemoresistance severely deteriorates the prognosis of advanced gastric cancer (GC) patients. Several studies demonstrated that (HP)-positive GC patients showed better outcomes after receiving chemotherapy than HP-negative ones. This study aims to confirm the role of HP in GC chemotherapy and to study the underlying mechanisms.

Among the components of the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS), ubiquitin-protein ligase E3 has emerged as a key molecule. Nevertheless, the biological functions of E3 ubiquitin ligases and their potential mechanisms orchestrating glycolysis in gastric cancer (GC) remain to be elucidated.

Neural invasion (NI) is considered as the symbiotic interaction between nerves and cancers, which strongly affects the prognosis of GC patients. Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) play a key role in intercellular communication.

However, the mechanisms underlying the LM of GC (GC-LM) remain poorly understood. This study aimed to identify the tumour-secreted protein associated with GC-LM and to investigate the mechanisms by which this secreted protein remodels the liver microenvironment to promote GC-LM.

Dysregulated long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) participate in a variety of biological processes in cancer. However, to date, m5C-methylated lncRNAs are rarely researched in gastric cancer (GC).

This study aims to investigate the differences between patients with and without POO in open and laparoscopic groups and to determine the differences between laparoscopic distal gastrectomy (LDG) and open distal gastrectomy (ODG) in GC patients with POO.
Methods: A total of 241 GC patients with POO who underwent distal gastrectomy at the Department of Gastric Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University between 2016 and 2021 were included in this study.
Background: Although ischemic stroke exhibits a high prevalence in the elderly population, the involved genes and pathways are poorly understood. In this study, we proposed to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and constructed a circular RAN (circRNA)/long noncoding RNA (lncRNA)/microRNA (miRNA)-mRNA network associated with the pathogenesis of ischemic stroke by using bioinformatics analysis.
Methods: We constructed a rat model of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) and conducted total RNA and microRNA sequencing in brain specimens from MCAO and normal rats.
Despite many advances in treatment over the past few years, the poor 5-year survival rate and high recurrence rate of gastric cancer (GC) remain unsatisfactory. As the most abundant epigenetic modification in the eukaryotic mRNA, N6-methyladenosine (mA) methylation participates in tumor progression and tissue development. During tumor progression, DNA damage repair mechanisms can be reprogrammed to give new growth advantages on tumor clones whose genomic integrity is disturbed.

Exosomes have been identified as an important mediator of communication between tumor cells and the microenvironment. Therefore, we sought to investigate the effects of primary GC cells on the liver microenvironment and the role of exosomal microRNAs (exo-miRNA) in GC-LM.

Based on a machine learning algorithm, this paper deeply explores the privacy protection of personal information. In this paper, the definition of the machine learning algorithm is put forward, the design idea of privacy protection in joint machine learning platform is studied, and the architecture model and model parameter updating strategy of joint machine learning under privacy protection are designed. To protect the privacy of personal information, this paper also proposes a data homomorphic verification mechanism to prevent the global parameters from being tampered with by malicious cloud servers.

In our study, transcriptome analysis and self-organizing maps (SOM) were applied to screen backbone circRNAs in gastric cancer (GC). Upon validation of the expression patterns of screened circRNAs, gain- and loss-of-function assays were performed in vitro and in vivo.

However, its efficacy is significantly attenuated by chemoresistance, which is associated with patients' poor survival.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) play an important role in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer. Emerging evidence has shown that circular RNAs (circRNAs) play a critical regulatory role in the occurrence and development of various cancers through sponging miRNAs or acting as RNA-binding protein (RBP) sponges. We found that circUBE2Q2 was significantly upregulated in GC tissues and cell lines.

The poor prognosis of GC patients is partially due to the development of CDDP resistance. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a subclass of noncoding RNAs that function as microRNA (miRNA) sponges.
