Hyperglycemia exacerbates ischemic brain injury by up-regulating autophagy. However, the underlying mechanisms are unknown. This study aims to determine whether hyperglycemia activates autophagy through the p53-Sesn2-AMPK signaling pathway.

Our previous study has also suggested that selenium protected neurons against glutamate toxicity and hyperglycemia-induced damage by regulating mitochondrial fission and fusion. However, it is still not known whether the mitochondrial biogenesis is involved in selenium alleviating hyperglycemia-aggravated cerebral ischemia reperfusion (I/R) injury.

A novel CORDIC architecture that achieves the goal of pre-selecting angles and reduces the number of iterations is presented for LiDAR sensors. The value of the trigonometric functions can be found in seven rotations regardless of the number of input N digits.

The mechanical properties of silicene nanostructures subject to tensile loading were studied via a molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. The effects of temperature on Young's modulus and the fracture strain of silicene with armchair and zigzag types were examined. The maximum in-plane stress and the corresponding critical strain of the armchair and the zigzag silicene sheets at 300 K were 8.
