Despite the unique occurrences of structural defects in graphene synthesis, the fracture mechanism of a defective graphene sheet has not been fully understood due to the complexities of the defects. In this study, the fracture mechanism of the monolayer graphene with four common types of defects (single vacancy defect, divacancy defect, Stone-Wales defect and line vacancy defect) were investigated systematically for mechanical loading along armchair and zigzag directions, by using the finite element method. The results demonstrated that all four types of defects could cause significant fracture strength loss in graphene sheet compared with the pristine one.

This study hypothesized that 4D/3DC-US is noninferior to CA and DUS in grading ICAS in selected patients.

The results demonstrated that Cur of keto form existed in Cur-PEG, Cur of enol form was shown in Cur-PVP, while Cur-EuD or Cur ASDs formulated with EuD as component had Cur of keto form and enol form. Hydrogen bond interactions were formed between OH group (PEG, HPMC) with C═O (Cur), and C═O (PVP or EuD) with the OH group (Cur).

These title compounds were evaluated for their toxicity against brine shrimp (Artemia salina) and cytotoxic activities against two human cancer cell lines (HeLa and MCF-7). The results revealed that compound 6f exhibited promising in vitro cytotoxic activity to the two cancer cell lines and the nature of acylamino functional group in the benzylidene moiety had a significant influence on cytotoxicity.
