TMC- and TMC- the two topological isomers of [Fe(O)(TMC)(CHCN)] (TMC = 1,4,8,11-tetramethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane, or Mecyclam), differ in the orientations of their Fe=O units relative to the four methyl groups of the TMC ligand framework. The Fe=O unit of TMC- points away from the four methyl groups, while that of TMC- is surrounded by the methyl groups, resulting in differences in their oxidative reactivities. TMC- reacts with HAT (hydrogen atom transfer) substrates at 1.

The geometric, electronic and nonlinear optical properties of neutral and polaron based oligofurans are studied comparatively. We have reported the role of polaron to trigger the nonlinear optical response of oligofurans (nFu). The polaron based oligomers show excellent opto-electronic properties.

The reaction of [(Me/BnTPEN)Ru(NCCH)] (BnTPEN = -benzyl-,,-tris(pyridine-2-ylmethyl)ethane-1,2-diamine and MeTPEN = -methyl-,,-tris(pyridine-2-ylmethyl)ethane-1,2-diamine) with CPBA in the presence of chloride ions in CHCN : HO generated a novel (Me/BnTPEN)Ru-OCl species at room temperature. This hypochlorite adduct could also be obtained by the direct reaction of NaOCl and HClO with (L)Ru complexes. The current study mimics the synthesis of a metal hypochlorite adduct in a similar fashion as in the heme-dependent haloperoxidase enzyme.

Continuous attempts are being made to discover new approaches to design materials with extraordinary nonlinear optical responses. Herein, for the first time, we report the geometric, electronic, and nonlinear optical properties of novel Janus transition metalides AM--TM (where AM = Li, Na and K, and TM = Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn) containing alkali metals as a source of excess electrons for transition metals to generate metalides. The Janus organic complexant used for the study is all 1,2,3,4,5,6-hexafluorocyclohexane FCH ().

Among noble gases, Helium and Neon have smaller size, high ionization potential and low polarizability due to which these two gases exhibit weak binding affinities toward any surface. Bartlet's discovery and subsequent similar successful discoveries of stable complexes of noble gases opened new avenues for the storage of noble gases particularly on the new surfaces and their interactions for the storage of these gases. Here, we report the adsorption of light noble gases on polycationic clusters.

Different planting patterns affect the light interception of intercrops under intercropping conditions. Here we revealed that narrow-wide-row relay-intercropping improves the light interception across maize leaves in wide rows (60cm) and narrow rows (40cm), accelerated the biomass production of intercrop-species and compensated the slight maize yield loss by considerably increasing the soybean yield. In a two-year experiment, maize was planted with soybean in different planting patterns (1M1S, 50:50cm and 2M2S, 40:60cm) of relay-intercropping, both planting patterns were compared with sole cropping of maize (M) and soybean (S).
