Objectives Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) is a medical branch that aims to manage, prevent, and diagnose people who are disabled due to disease, disorder, or injury. The purpose of this study is to explore the level of awareness and scope of the PM&R specialty among medical students. Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out at Qassim University, Saudi Arabia, with 287 medical students.

Background/aims Most countries have gone through lockdowns to varying degrees during the COVID-19 pandemic to reduce the spread of the disease. Background And Aims: After sleeve gastrectomy, heartburn sensation and regurgitation are frequent postoperative consequences. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and severity of heartburn sensation and regurgitation symptoms among patients who underwent sleeve gastrectomy, as well as the relationship between demographic variables and the presence and severity of these symptoms.

Methodology: This cross-sectional study included 290 patients who underwent sleeve gastrectomy in the Al-Qassim region, Saudi Arabia.

Status epilepticus is a neurological emergency associated with high morbidity and mortality with fatal outcomes if not treated well. The goal of this study was to compare the intramuscular and intravenous treatment of individuals with status epilepticus. A search was performed on Scopus, PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases for articles published in the English language in peer-reviewed publications up to March 1, 2023.

An Assessment of Dementia Knowledge and Its Associated Factors Among Health College Students in Saudi Arabia.

Background Dementia is a public health concern and the main cause of impairment and dependency among the elderly worldwide. It is characterized by a progressive decline in cognition, memory, and all domains of quality of life with preserving the level of consciousness. Accurate measurement of dementia knowledge among future health professionals is required to improve targeted educational initiatives and supportive care of patients.
