View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjective: In this report, we determined the efficacy and the toxicity of low dose weekly gemcitabine with radiotherapy, in medically unfit or refused surgery muscle-invasive bladder cancer (BC) patients.
Materials And Methods: From 2008 to 2012, 15 patients were included into the retrospective analysis. Weekly gemcitabine was administered at a rate of 50 mg/m(2) with a median dose of 63 Gy radiotherapy.
In this study, clinical characteristics, treatment modalities and outcome of patients diagnosed with bladder/prostate rhabdomyosarcoma (BP RMS) were evaluated retrospectively. Files of 8 children diagnosed with BP RMS and treated between 2004-2014 were reviewed for clinical characteristics, treatment modalities and outcome. Seven males and one female were diagnosed with BP RMS between 2004-2014.

Even though it is known that the most important environmental aetiological factors for head and neck cancer (HNC) development are tobacco and alcohol, genetic susceptibility is also thought to be important. The use of biomarkers of chromosomal damage due to genetic instability in order to predict risk of cancer as well as to identify high-risk individuals is imperative.

Background: The purpose of this study is to assess the clinical outcome of patients with ESFT of the bone treated with the European Intergroup Cooperative Ewings Sarcoma Study (EICESS)-92 treatment protocol at a single center, and to identify prognostic factors.
Methods: Ninety-eight patients younger than 18 years of age, diagnosed with ESFT of the bone between 1992 and 2005, were analyzed retrospectively.
Results: Eighty-seven patients were treated with the EICESS-92 protocol.

Purpose: We retrospectively evaluated the clinical, radiological and pathological features determining the prognosis of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma in Ankara Oncology Hospital, Turkey.
Material And Methods: Two hundred and fifty-nine patients, 74 women and 185 males with nasopharyngeal carcinoma were treated between 1993 and 2008. All imaging data including CT and MRI were reevaluated according to the criteria which determine parapharyngeal, oropharyngeal, nasal, skull-base (bone)/sinus, infratemporal fossa, orbit, intracranial involvements and lymph node metastasis by our radiologists.
