Background: People with stroke and their families face numerous challenges as they leave hospital to return home, often experiencing multifaceted unmet needs and feelings of abandonment. The essential elements of an intervention intended to support transition-to-home after stroke are unclear.
Objective: The aim of the project was to engage in a co-design process to identify the key components of a pragmatic intervention to inform a transition-to-home support pathway following stroke.
Background: Transitioning home from the structured hospital setting poses challenges for people with stroke (PWS) and their caregivers (CGs), as they navigate through complex uncertainties. There are gaps in our understanding of appropriate support interventions for managing the transition home. Methods: A prospective cohort study recruiting individuals with stroke, from three hospitals, who transitioned home, either directly, through rehabilitation, or with early supported discharge teams.
Background: The SPYRAL HTN-ON MED (Global Clinical Study of Renal Denervation With the Symplicity Spyral Multi-electrode Renal Denervation System in Patients With Uncontrolled Hypertension in the Absence of Antihypertensive Medications)trial showed significant office and nighttime systolic blood pressure (BP) reductions in patients with hypertension following renal denervation (RDN) compared with sham-control patients, despite similar 24-hour BP reductions. We compared antihypertensive medication and BP changes among prespecified subpopulations.
Methods: The multicenter, randomized, sham-controlled, blinded SPYRAL HTN-ON MED trial (n=337) evaluated BP changes after RDN compared with a sham procedure in patients with hypertension prescribed 1 to 3 antihypertensive drugs.
Background: Placental cord drainage (PCD) after vaginal birth accelerates placental delivery by 2.85 minutes, but reduces blood loss by only 77 mL.
Aims: To determine if PCD at elective caesarean section accelerates placental delivery, compared to delayed cord clamping (DCC).

We evaluated whether the number or type of antihypertensive medications were associated with increased long-term blood pressure (BP) reductions and cardiovascular outcomes following radiofrequency RDN.
Methods: Patients underwent radiofrequency RDN and were categorized by baseline number (0-3 and ≥4) and different combinations of medication classes.

Objective: To describe the contact tracing, exposure identification, risk stratification, administration of postexposure prophylaxis (PEP), and exposure period monitoring for contacts of the index patient, including evaluation of persons who developed symptoms possibly consistent with MPXV infection.
Purpose: Precipitation of amorphous solid dispersions has gained traction in the pharmaceutical industry given its application to pharmaceuticals with varying physicochemical properties. Although preparing co-precipitated amorphous dispersions (cPAD) in high-shear rotor-stator devices allows for controlled shear conditions during precipitation, such aggressive mixing environments can result in materials with low bulk density and poor flowability. This work investigated annealing cPAD after precipitation by washing with heated anti-solvent to improve bulk powder properties required for downstream drug product processing.

Aim: The purpose of this systematic review was to investigate the effectiveness of support interventions at transition from organised stroke services to independent living at home.
Methods: The Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, six databases including MEDLINE and Embase, trial registries, grey literature, and Google Scholar were all searched, up to June 2021.
The SPYRAL HTN-OFF MED Pivotal trial ( https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02439749 ) demonstrated significant reductions in blood pressure (BP) after renal denervation (RDN) compared to sham control in the absence of anti-hypertensive medications. Prior to the 3-month primary endpoint, medications were immediately reinstated for patients who met escape criteria defined as office systolic BP (SBP) ≥ 180 mmHg or other safety concerns.

Methods: From the randomized, sham-controlled SPYRAL HTN-OFF MED Pivotal trial, we performed a post hoc analysis of BP waveforms from 111 RDN patients and 111 sham controls, obtained with a brachial cuff-based sphygmomanometer.
Background: Renal denervation has been shown to lower blood pressure in the presence of antihypertensive medications; however, long-term safety and efficacy data from randomised trials of renal denervation are lacking. In this pre-specified analysis of the SPYRAL HTN-ON MED study, we compared changes in blood pressure, antihypertensive drug use, and safety up to 36 months in renal denervation versus a sham control group.
Methods: This randomised, single-blind, sham-controlled trial enrolled patients from 25 clinical centres in the USA, Germany, Japan, the UK, Australia, Austria, and Greece, with uncontrolled hypertension and office systolic blood pressure between 150 mm Hg and 180 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure of 90 mm Hg or higher.
