Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a cancer caused by abnormal cell growth due to faulty signal transduction. Cells secrete tumor suppressor factors in response to potential carcinogenic signals, inducing cellular senescence (CS) as a countermeasure. However, accurately measuring CS levels in different types of tumors is challenging due to tumor heterogeneity and the lack of universal and specific CS markers.

Surgical resection remains the principal treatment method in clinical practice. Regrettably, the majority of patients receive their diagnosis at an advanced stage, making surgical intervention unfeasible.

Previous studies have implicated KHDRBS1 in the oncogenesis of certain human tumors such as colorectal and prostate cancers, underscoring its potential as a therapeutic target. However, the comprehensive expression pattern of KHDRBS1 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) warrants further exploration.

This study sought to investigate the mechanisms underlying the reduced infiltration of immune cells into the CHOL TME.
Methods: We constructed a Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) regression model to identify prognosis-related differentially expressed genes (DEGs).
Aims: This study aims to investigate the effects of berberine (BBR) on the intestinal microbiome (IM) and serum metabolome in ulcerative colitis (UC). Furthermore, the underlying molecular mechanisms of BBR in treating UC also will be explored systematically.
Materials And Methods: A multi-omics approach that integrates the 16s rDNA, serum metabolome, transcriptomics and bioinformatics was profiled to investigate the potential effects of BBR on the IM, serum metabolites and metabolic pathways, and gene expression.
Background: It is widely acknowledged that cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity hinders its efficacy during clinical therapy. Effective pharmaceutical interventions for cisplatin-induced acute kidney injury (Cis-AKI) are currently lacking. Prior studies have implicated the chemokine CX3CL1 in the development of lipopolysaccharide-induced AKI; however, its specific role in Cis-AKI remains uncertain.

Neutrophils have been identified as playing a critical role in the immune microenvironment of HCC based on recent single-cell studies. However, there is still a need to stratify HCC patients based on neutrophil heterogeneity.

Traditional RNA sequencing cannot detect precise molecular composition changes within tumors. This study aimed to analyze cellular senescence's biochemical characteristics in ccRCC using single RNA sequencing (ScRNA-seq) and traditional RNA sequencing (Bulk RNA-seq).

Methods: Clinical information and gene expression profiles from CC patients were obtained based on Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) databases.
Background: An increasing number of studies have demonstrated that CX3CL1 is involved in the development of tumors and may thus be considered a new potential therapeutic target for them. However, the function of CX3CL1 in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) remains poorly defined.
Methods: The pan-cancer expression pattern and prognostic value of CX3CL1 were evaluated in this study.
Methyl methanesulfonate-sensitivity protein 22-like (MMS22L) is crucial in protecting genome integrity during DNA replication by preventing DNA damage and maintaining efficient homologous recombination. However, the role of MMS22L in human cancers remains unclear. Here, we reported the landscape of MMS22L using multi-omics data and identified the relationship between the MMS22L status and pan-cancer prognosis.

The capability of delivering curative treatment or mediating therapeutic benefits for a long-term period following a single application fundamentally distinguishes this medical intervention from traditional medicine and various lentiviral/γ-retroviral vector-mediated gene therapy products have been approved for clinical use. Continued advances in retroviral vector engineering, genomic editing, synthetic biology and immunology will broaden the medical applications of gene therapy and improve the efficacy and safety of the treatments based on genetic correction and alteration.

However, the interactions, expression patterns, and clinical relevance of LR in the TME in ccRCC are insufficiently characterised. This study characterises the complex composition of the TME in ccRCC by analysing the single-cell sequencing (scRNA-seq) data of patients with ccRCC from the Gene expression omnibus database.

The prognosis and five-year survival rate of HCC are not promising due to tumor recurrence and metastasis. Exploring markers that contribute to the early diagnosis of HCC, markers for prognostic evaluation of HCC patients, and effective targets for treating HCC patients are in the spotlight of HCC therapy.

Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor-related protein 1B (LRP1B) is one of the commonly mutated genes in HCC, but its role in HCC remains unclear. In this study, we analyzed the role of LRP1B mutation in HCC.

Accumulating evidences have shown that microRNA-200c (miR-200c) expression is associated with the prognosis of many types of human cancer. However, the prognostic value of miR-200c in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is still unknown. In the present study, the expression of miR-200c in paired HCC and adjacent non-tumor tissues from 148 patients was determined by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR), and we analyzed its association with clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of HCC patients.

This study aimed to investigate the influence of heating conditions, digestion, and aggregation on the binding capacity of AGEs to the soluble AGE receptor (sRAGE). Samples consisting of mixtures of whey protein and lactose were heated at 130 °C.

Methods: By searching the MEDLINE database and four Chinese full-text databases (CNKI, CBM, VIP and WANFANG) (up to August 2012), as well as two HLA allele frequency net databases and the Chinese Statistics Yearbook databases, we systematically reviewed the literature on definite and suspected cases of celiac disease, the predisposing HLA allele frequencies, and on gluten exposure in China.
Buffalo milk safety was highlighted with the increase in dietary consumption, and a little information is available on buffalo milk allergy except for cross-reactivity between buffalo and cow milk. In this work, linear epitopes and critical amino acids of buffalo β-lactoglobulin were defined by 4 rabbit's sera using SPOTTM peptide arrays approach based on the defined mimotopes. The eight epitopes on buffalo β-lactoglobulin were located in the position of A6(21-30), A7(25-34), A8 (29-38), B4 (73-82), B5(77-86), C(87-96), F4(134-143) and F8(150-159), respectively.
