Objectives: To compare real-world characteristics and management of individuals aged 80 and older with heart failure (HF) and mid-range ejection fraction (HFmrEF) and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) derived from a large cohort of survey and to compare them with those younger than 80 from the same survey.
Methods: This is an observational, multicentre and cross-sectional study conducted in Turkey (NCT03026114). Consecutive 1065 (mean age of 67.
Objectives: Prognosis for patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who, after neoadjuvant/induction and surgery, have a pathological complete response (pCR) is expected to be improved. However, the place of the pCR patients in the context of the tumour, lymph node and metastasis (TNM) staging system is still not defined. The aim of this study is to investigate the long-term survival of NSCLC patients with pCR and to find their appropriate staging category within the TNM staging system.

Objective: In this multicenter study, we aimed to evaluate the prevalence of FD in renal transplant (Tx) recipients in Turkey. We also screened dialysis patients as a control group.
Introduction: Cartonectin was defined as a new adipokine released from rat and human adipocyte tissues, which is also known as CORS 26 or CTRP3 protein. Although there are several studies investigating the effects of cartonectin with obesity, anti-inflammatory mechanisms, and cardioprotective effects, there is no study about the effects of cartonectin in patients with chronic kidney disease yet. We aimed to investigate cartonectin levels in predialysis and dialysis patient groups, in other words, at different stages of chronic kidney disease, by comparing with the control group.

Methods: This study included 130 patients in the 25-79 age group who were classified as clinically and electrophysiologically idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome in our electromyography (EMG) laboratory. Visual Analog Scale (VAS) was used to assess pain during rest and activity.
Objective: The aim of this study was to compare schizophrenia patients with and without Deficit Syndrome (DS) with respect to alexithymia, depression and negative symptoms and to investigate the relationship between these variables.
Method: A total of 210 schizophrenia patients who joined the study were grouped on the basis of the Schedule for the Deficit Syndrome (SDS). Each patient was evaluated using the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS), the Calgary Depression Scale for Schizophrenia (CDSS), the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS) and the UKU - Side Effect Rating Scale (UKU-SERS).
Purpose: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of minimally invasive treatment of ureteral strictures and describe the technique that we used for retrograde placement of ureteral stent in transplant kidneys.
Material And Methods: We reviewed the medical cards of all transplant kidney patients with persistent ureteral strictures who were managed with periodical ureteral stent placement and balloon dilatation between 2008 and 2016. Different maneuvers that were used to overcome the difficulties for retrograde ureteral stent placement and exchange were discussed.
Prostate cancer is one of the frequently seen types of cancers in men. The most frequent histological type of prostate cancer is the acinar adenocarcinoma. Mucin-producing urothelial-type adenocarcinoma of the prostate is a very rare subtype.

Methods: The APOLLON trial (A comPrehensive, ObservationaL registry of heart faiLure with mid-range and preserved ejection fractiON) is an observational and multicenter study conducted in Turkey. Consecutive patients admitted to the cardiology clinics who were at least 18 years of age and had HFmrEF or HFpEF were included (NCT03026114).
Background: Acne vulgaris is a common skin disease characterized by increased sebum production, inflammation, and colonization of Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) on pilosebaceous follicles.
Aims: To determine the efficacy of two different plant extracts against P.
Tumor deposits (TD) are irregular discrete tumor masses in adipose tissue, discontinuous from the primary tumor, that are described in various cancers. The incidence and/or prognostic value of TD in breast carcinomas have not been studied so far. We reevaluated 145 breast cancer patients, diagnosed and treated between 2001 and 2006 at our institution for the presence and incidence of TD.
