Objectives: To investigate changes in blood pressure (BP) among pediatric patients with sickle cell disease (SCD) and determine the variables that might influence these changes.
Methods: A total of 100 pediatric patients with SCD who followed up in the pediatric outpatient clinic were recruited for this retrospective cohort study. Clinical data included anthropometric measures, average systolic and diastolic BP recorded during multiple follow-up visits, hemoglobin (Hb) level, serum creatinine, and hemoglobin S percentage.
