Isotope dilution, if successfully implemented, may provide a more reliable, relative quantification. Therefore, the C labeled yeast extract of the IROA TruQuant kit was added as an internal standard (IS) to human urine samples measured in full-scan mode on a high-performance liquid chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometer (HPLC-TOFMS) system.
