A novel water-soluble polymer nanocomposite containing ultra-small iron oxide nanoparticles, intercalated into a biocompatible matrix of 1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole and -vinylpyrrolidone copolymer has been synthesized for the first time. The use of an original polymer matrix ensured effective stabilization of the crystalline phase of iron oxides at an early stage of its formation in an ultra-small (2-8 nm, average diameter is 4.8 nm) nanosized state due to its effective interaction with the functional groups of copolymer macromolecules.

In all cases, this salt represents a composite of radical-enriched macromolecules and silver(0) nanoparticles. As time passed, the initial small spherical nanoparticles were converted into larger non-spherical silver nanoparticles.

Of these, 24 m1 of voles of the subgenus Stenocranius were found to have broadly connected triangles T4 and T5 (Pitymys-Rhombus) at the base of the anteroconid. This structure is characteristic of lower m1 of Lasiopodomys (Stenocranius) gregaloides (Hinton, 1923) from faunas of the second half of the Early Pleistocene and the first half of the Middle Pleistocene.

A new water-soluble copolymer of 1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole and vinylsulfonic acid sodium salt (poly(VT-co-Na-VSA)) was obtained by free-radical copolymerization and was used as a stabilizing precursor agent. The structural, dimensional, and morphological properties of the nanocomposite were studied by UV-Vis, FTIR, X-ray diffraction, atomic absorption, transmission and scanning electron microscopy, dynamic and electrophoretic light scattering, gel permeation chromatography, thermogravimetric analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry.

Objective: To analyze the characteristics of paroxysmal syndrome in insular and temporal lobe tumors, to determine their relationship with the histological structure of tumor, to assess the effect of tumor growth nature on severity of disease.
Material And Methods: A retrospective analysis enrolled 80 patients aged 11 - 80 years with insular and temporal lobe tumors and symptomatic epilepsy. All patients underwent surgery at the Polenov National Research Neurosurgery Center in Almazov National Medical Research Center for the period from 2012 to 2018.
Novel silver/poly-1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole nanocomposite materials-possessing antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria-have been synthesized and characterized in the solid state and aqueous solution by complex of modern physical-chemical and biologic methods. TEM-monitoring has revealed the main stages of microbial cell () destruction by novel nanocomposite. The concept of direct polarized destruction of microbes by nanosilver proposed by the authors allows the relationship between physicochemical and antimicrobial properties of novel nanocomposites.

Among the rodent fossils, the teeth of red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) and forest dormouse (Dryomys nitedula) have been identified. The enamel differentiation quotient (SDQ) of the water vole teeth matches the Arvicola terrestris species from locations of the end of Middle and Late Pleistocene (oxygen isotope stages, OIS 6 and OIS 5-2, respectively).

Both ionic liquids have the same cation, 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium, but different trifluoromethyl-containing anions. One has a strongly hydrophobic anion, bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide, while the second has a hydrophilic anion, trifluoromethylsulfonate.

Nontoxic poly(1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole) was used as a stabilizing precursor agent in aqueous medium. Glucose and dimethyl sulfoxide were used as the silver ion-reducing agents to yield silver nanoparticles 2-26 nm and 2-8 nm in size, respectively.

Background: Diagnosis of fruit sensitisation by skin prick test (SPT) is fast and easy to perform. Nevertheless, some fruit is not available throughout the year. Freezing aliquots of these fresh fruits to be defrosted would be a good solution to perform SPT at any time.

Objectives: Compare the results of the oral egg-challenge test in two groups of egg-sensitised children, with and without prior intake.
Patients And Methods: Retrospective study of two egg-sensitised groups (72 subjects).
The solvation dynamics and local orientational friction for a series of four ionic liquids have been probed using coumarin 153 (C153) as a function of temperature. These ionic liquids are comprised of nonaromatic organic cations paired with a common anion, bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide (NTf(2)-). The specific liquids are as follows: N-methyl-tri-N-butylammonium NTf(2)- (N(1444)+/NTf(2)-), N-hexyl-tri-N-butylammonium NTf(2)- (N(6444)+/NTf(2)-), N-methyl-N-butylpyrrolidinium NTf(2)- (Pyrr(14)+/NTf(2)-), and N-methyl-N-ethoxyethylpyrrolidinium NTf(2)- (Pyrr(1(2O2))+/NTf(2)-).

Chromosome damage and the spectrum of aberrations induced by low doses of gamma-irradiation, X-rays and accelerated carbon ions (195 MeV/u, LET 16.6 keV/microm) in peripheral blood lymphocytes of four donors were studied. G0-lymphocytes were exposed to 1-100 cGy, stimulated by PHA, and analyzed for chromosome aberrations at 48 h post-irradiation by the metaphase method.

The complex nonlinear dose-effect dependence at the range from 1 to 50-70 cGy was observed. At the doses of 1-5 cGy the cells show the highest radiosensitivity (hypersensitivity), mainly due to the chromatid-type aberration, which is typical to those spontaneously generated in the cell and believed not to be induced by the irradiation of unstimulated lymphocytes according to the classical theory of aberration formation.
