Following the publication of this paper, it was drawn to the Editors' attention by a concerned reader that cell migration assay data shown in Figs. 2D and 4D were strikingly similar to data that had appeared in different form in other articles by different authors (in addition to the apparent duplication of some of these data within this paper itself). Owing to the fact that the contentious data in the above article had already been published elsewhere, or were already under consideration for publication, prior to its submission to , the Editor has decided that this paper should be retracted from the Journal.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are closely linked with human cancer development such as non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, the characteristics and specific functions of most circRNAs in NSCLC remained unknown. Previous studies have suggested that circRNA SOD2 (CircSOD2) expression was upregulated in a number of cancers.

Background: Circulating leptin can directly act on tumor cells. However, a recent meta-analysis showed that plasma leptin concentration had no significant effect on the survival of lung cancer patients. So does Leptin have an effect on lung cancer? Or there may be other factors that influence the effect.

Background: Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is an aggressive and invasive malignancy that presents at advanced clinical stage with no more effective treatments. Development of a method for its early detection would be useful, also new therapeutic target need to be discovered; however, there is a lack of information about its oncogenic driver gene mutations.

Objectives: We aim to identify the SCLC-related genomic variants that associate with clinical staging and serum protein biomarkers observed in other types of lung cancer.

Purpose: Metastasis is a crucial cause of the high mortality in patients with lung cancer. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging as important players in the development and progression of human cancers. Here, we aimed to identify metastasis-associated lncRNA and to study its roles in the migration and invasion of lung cancer cells.

Background: Opioid-based postoperative analgesia provides adequate analgesia with much adverse effects and immunosuppression. Dexmedetomidine and ketorolac have properties of opioid-sparing, antiinflammation, and immune protection.

Objectives: To investigate the efficacy and safety of whole-course application of dexmedetomidine combined with ketorolac in nonnarcotic postoperative analgesia and its effect on inflammatory response and immune function in thoracoscopic surgery of lung cancer.

Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-associated mortality worldwide. Previous evidence suggested that microRNAs (miRs) exhibit important regulatory roles in tumorigenesis and tumor development, including in non‑small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The present study investigated the expression of miR‑199b in NSCLC tissues and cell lines, in addition to the biological roles of miR‑199b in the carcinogenesis and progression of NSCLC.

Background: Lung cancer has the highest mortality rate among malignant tumors. Proteomics is a powerful tool to identify protein biomarkers. The identification of protein biomarkers associated with lung adenocarcinoma would have significance for making prognoses and designing targeted therapies.

Distant metastasis is one of the leading causes of lung cancer death. Detecting the early-stage molecular alternations in primary tumors, such as gene expression differences, provides a "prognostic" value to the precaution of tumor metastasis. The aim of this article is to screen and identify the metastasis-related genes in human squamous cell lung carcinoma.
