: Anterior Vertebral Body Tethering (AVBT) is a relatively novel minimally invasive surgical technique for the treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) that enables deformity correction of the spine diminishing vertebral motion reduction caused by the standard posterior spinal fusion approach.
