Objective: Based on a review of the literature, to create a map of the available evidence on the treatment methods for chikungunya.
Method: In May 2022, a literature search on chikungunya was conducted using the PubMed and Virtual Health Library platforms. To create the evidence map, studies that mentioned chikungunya fever were selected and characterized based on the type of intervention, outcome, and direction of the effect (positive, negative, potentially positive or potentially negative, inconclusive, or no effect), following the methodology recommended by the Latin American and Caribbean Center on Health Sciences Information (BIREME).
Objectives: This cross-sectional observational study determined the prevalence and factors associated with molar-incisive hypomineralization (MIH) in quilombola children and adolescents in north-eastern Brazil.
Methods: The sample consisted of 251 children and adolescents (8 to 14 years old) living in the rural quilombola community Lagoas in São Raimundo Nonato, Piauí (census population). Sociodemographic and health-related data were collected from pre-, peri- and post-natal health records and a clinical examination for MIH diagnosis was performed by four previously trained and calibrated examiners.
Objectives: To understand and to reflect about care based on the experiences of managers, professionals and users of maternal and child health services.
Methods: We developed an evaluative research with a qualitative approach in a Northeastern state of Brazil with extensive experience in the regionalization and implementation process of integrated health networks. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with 68 subjects and direct observation of the maternal and child health services.
The Public Health Action Organizational Contract (COAP) / Decree 7.508/2011 aimed to seal health agreements made between federated entities to promote the cooperative governance and management of Health Regions. A qualitative study was carried out adopting a hermeneutic approach to understand state health managers' perceptions of the elaboration and effects of the COAP in the State of Ceará.
