The study aimed to compare the physical activity levels (PAL) and exercise care of patients with diabetes mellitus (DM).
A total of 225 patients were surveyed, with results showing that type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) patients were less active and reported more barriers to exercising compared to type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM1) patients.
Key differences were found in reasons for not exercising, with DM2 patients citing discomfort and restrictions, while DM1 patients pointed to time constraints and fear of hypoglycemia.
