- Patients on intermittent ventilation or without support were excluded, with data collected over a year showing a mechanical ventilation usage rate of 15.9% and low incidence rates of pneumonia (2.2 cases per 1000 ventilation-days for kids, 1.7 for adults), which were less than national figures.
- Among the 73 patients with 101 pneumonia episodes, most were male adults with neurological issues, and treatment occurred mainly at home, resulting in only one reported death, indicating low incidence and mortality in this setting.
