Stable Sb exhibits a rhombohedral structure, often referred to as distorted primitive cubic, with each Sb atom having three short and three longer first neighbor bonds. However, this crystal structure can also be interpreted as being layered, putting emphasis on only three short first neighbor bonds. Therefore, temperature-dependent extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy is carried out at the Sb K-edge in order to obtain more detailed information on local structural and vibrational properties.

Case Presentation: Here, we report a case of a patient with clinical and imaging features of FTD.

Objective: Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) can lead to psychiatric and somatic symptoms for some patients, including posttraumatic headache (PTH) and depression. This study attempted to further establish the relationship between PTH and depression following mTBI and investigate whether the presence of PTH immediately following injury can identify patients at risk for developing depressive symptoms up to 6 months later.
Methods: This study was a secondary analysis of data from Head Injury Serum Markers for Assessing Response to Trauma (HeadSMART), a prospective study of adult patients in the emergency department with head injury.
The almost-two-centuries history of spectrochemical analysis has generated a body of literature so vast that it has become nearly intractable for experts, much less for those wishing to enter the field. Authoritative, focused reviews help to address this problem but become so granular that the overall directions of the field are lost. This broader perspective can be provided partially by general overviews but then the thinking, experimental details, theoretical underpinnings and instrumental innovations of the original work must be sacrificed.

However, pharmacologic targeting of KAT6A to achieve therapeutic benefit has been a challenge. Here we describe identification of a highly potent, selective, and orally bioavailable KAT6A/KAT6B inhibitor CTx-648 (PF-9363), derived from a benzisoxazole series, which demonstrates anti-tumor activity in correlation with H3K23Ac inhibition in KAT6A over-expressing breast cancer.

Local symptoms from the tumor remain a common issue and affect quality of life. Electroporation is a method to permeabilize cell membranes with high-voltage pulses, allowing increased passage of otherwise poorly permeating substances such as calcium.

Identification of recovery trajectories improves our ability to understand the natural history of mild TBI recovery and develop targeted interventions.
Objective: To utilize group-based trajectory modeling (GBTM) to identify distinct patterns of symptom recovery following mild TBI in the first 6 months after mild TBI.

A newly designed setup to perform steady-state X-ray excited optical luminescence (XEOL) spectroscopy and simultaneous XEOL and X-ray absorption spectroscopy characterization at beamline P65 of PETRA III is described. The XEOL setup is equipped with a He-flow cryostat and state-of-the-art optical detection system, which covers a wide wavelength range of 300-1700 nm with a high spectral resolution of 0.4 nm.

However, the cause of burns in LMIC is poorly documented. The aim was to document the causes of severe burns and the changes over time.

A notable example in vertebrate embryos is found during somitogenesis, where gene expression oscillations linked to the segmentation clock are synchronized across cells in the presomitic mesoderm (PSM) and result in tissue-level wave patterns. To examine their onset during mouse embryo development, we studied the dynamics of the segmentation clock gene Lfng during gastrulation.

Objective: Depressive symptoms are among the most common neuropsychiatric sequelae of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). Very few studies have compared correlates of depressive symptoms within the first 6 months of injury in cohorts experiencing their first TBI. The authors investigated whether the correlates of depressive symptoms (being female, older, lower education, having brain lesions, experiencing worse postconcussive symptoms, and incomplete functional recovery) that have been established in populations with moderate to severe TBI were the same for individuals with first-time mTBI within the first 6 months of recovery.

Therefore, we aimed to describe the epidemiology, risk factors, and outcomes of these injuries and highlight the potential of the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Burn Registry (GBR). Patients with cooking-related burns were identified in the WHO GBR.

Burn prevention programmes have led to significant reductions in the incidence of burns in high-income countries. However, a previous systematic review published in 2015 highlighted that implementation and evaluation of similar programmes has been limited in LMIC.

We aimed to derive a prognostic model for predicting incomplete recovery at 1-month in emergency department (ED) patients with mTBI and a presenting Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score of 15 who were enrolled in the HeadSMART (Head Injury Serum Markers for Assessing Response to Trauma) study. The derivation cohort included 355 participants with complete baseline (day-of-injury) and follow-up data.

Methods: All patients who underwent implantation of PFIA between 09/2009 and 11/2016 at 11 specialized orthopedic referral centers were enrolled in the study and were evaluated retrospectively at a minimum 2-year follow-up. Clinical outcomes included the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) score, the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS), the Tegner Scale, the visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain, and subjective patient satisfaction.
Background: Keloid scarring is a pathologic proliferation of scar tissue that often causes pruritus, pain, and disfigurement. Keloids can be difficult to treat and have a high risk of recurrence. Recent studies have shown promising results in the treatment of cutaneous metastases with intralesional calcium combined with electroporation (calcium electroporation).

Methods: Women with non-metastatic breast cancer were recruited before primary therapy. In four weeks distributed over six months after treatment start, patients reported time spent on work, transport, chores and sports via diary and wore Garmin vivofit 3 accelerometers to assess steps taken.
Background: Knowledge about experiences of depression among younger-old adults from the general population is limited. The aim was to explore experiences of depression in early late life.
Methods: Sixteen participants in the population-based Gothenburg H70 Birth Cohort Studies (12 women and 4 men) who had reported a history of depression between ages 60-70 took part in focus group discussions (n = 4).
JQ1 is a BET-bromodomain inhibitor that has immunomodulatory effects. However, the precise molecular mechanism that JQ1 targets to elicit changes in antibody production is not understood. Our results show that JQ1 induces apoptosis, reduces cell proliferation, and as a consequence, inhibits antibody-secreting cell differentiation.

This study tested if gender expression was associated with depression and burden of depressive symptoms in a 70-year-old population.
Methods: A cross-sectional population-based sample of 70-year-olds from The Gothenburg H70 Birth Cohort Study (n = 1203) was examined in 2014-16.
