Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM) is a technique that derives tissue magnetic susceptibility distributions from phase measurements obtained through Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging. Soil-potassium (K) low availability and drought stress are limiting factors to crop productivity in arid and semiarid regions. A pot experiment with four K soil supplies (0, 60, 120 and 180 KO kg ha) and exposed to drought stress with 50 ± 5% field capacity was performed to investigate the function of K in protecting sesame plants from the adverse effects of drought based on the related physio-biochemical traits. The forming mechanism of non-filamentous sludge bulking during aerobic granulation were investigated basing on three feeding strategies (R1 direct aeration after fast feeding, R2 anaerobic stirring after fast feeding and R3 anaerobic plug-flow slow feeding). Results showed that strong selection stress (shortening settling time) led to a sharp flocs washout and the subsequent increase of food to microorganisms (F/M) in R1 and R3 reactors, but not found in R2 due to the different strategies of feeding modes. With the increase of F/M, zeta potential and hydrophobicity of sludge surfaces significantly decreased and thus leading to an enhanced repulsive force and energy barriers for sludge aggregation.

Background: Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors reduce the risk of hospitalization for heart failure and cardiovascular death among patients with chronic heart failure and a left ventricular ejection fraction of 40% or less. Tensile properties and microstructure changes under different stress states of tempered 9Cr-F/M steel were characterized using a transmission electron microscope (TEM), electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Vickers hardness tester, and tensile tester. How this novel beta-coronavirus virus, and coronaviruses more generally, alter cellular metabolism to support massive production of ~30 kB viral genomes and subgenomic viral RNAs remains largely unknown.
