COVID-19 may result in acute respiratory distress (ARDS) in patients with the severe form of the disease. Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) can support respiratory gas interchange in patients failing conventional methods, but its effectiveness in COVID patients is still debatable. The aim of this study is to find the survival outcomes of patients with and without COVID-19 ARDS who were supported with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

A case of sigmoid colon duplication in an adult woman.

Colonic duplication is a rare congenital anomaly that is often diagnosed in childhood, but may go unrecognised until adulthood. It often presents with chronic abdominal pain and constipation, and the preoperative diagnosis may be difficult. We present a case of sigmoid duplication in a 33-year-old Indonesian woman who presented with right-sided colicky abdominal pain and vomiting.

[Filmless magnetic resonance tomography. Advantages and disadvantages in comparison with film reports].

At our hospital, an average MRI examination comprises 170 images. These examinations were evaluated exclusively on digital reporting systems with two high-resolution monitors for a period of 1 year. A retrospective analysis of this reporting method in comparison with films on a conventional viewing wall was performed with subjective and objective data.
