Background: Lower gastrointestinal perforation (LGP) is an acute abdominal condition associated with a high mortality rate. Timely and accurate diagnosis is crucial. The objectives of this study were to assess whether discontinuity is owed to delayed union or non-union and to clarify the risk factors associated with discontinuity >1 year after periacetabular osteotomy.
Methods: We performed a retrospective review of 104 hips in 95 consecutive patients who underwent periacetabular osteotomy between 2017 and 2021.
Background Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is an effective approach to improving the efficacy of drugs with a narrow therapeutic index and high toxicity. TDM-guided dosing of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) has been shown to result in superior efficacy and fewer adverse events compared to body surface area (BSA)-based dosing. Therefore, accurate measurement of plasma 5-FU concentrations after capecitabine administration is necessary.
