Introduction: Family-centered care sustains the unity of the child's and the family's health. The aim of this study was to determine nurses' attitudes toward parents' participation in the care of their hospitalized children in Iran in 2015.
Methods: In this experimental study, 200 pediatric nurses from hospitals affiliated with the Shaheed Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran were selected using the multi-stage, random-sampling method.
Background: Family-centered care (FCC) involves holistic care and requires cooperation with the family in planning, intervention, and the evolution of the care that is being provided. Many previous studies have provided results that indicate the importance of the family's involvement in pediatric care, but there is still resistance in doing so within the organizational culture of the hospitals in Iran. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of FCC on the satisfaction of parents of children hospitalized in 2012 in the pediatric ward at Razi Hospital in Chaloos, Iran.

The patient died of acute bronchopneumonia at the age of 4 years. The autopsy revealed a small undescended pituitary that contained a glial hamartoma and a small rim of adenohypopysial cells, which were minimally reactive immunohistologically only for growth hormone.

The proband of our report was weak with preserved mentation. He underwent extensive evaluation, which revealed abnormal nerve conduction studies, neurogenic changes on muscle biopsy, a decreased number of large myelinated fibers and rare onion bulb formations on nerve biopsy, negative gene testing for spinal muscular atrophy, CMT1a, and CMTX1 and a normal brain magnetic resonance image.

Alzheimer's disease (AD), as we think of it today, is the idiopathic progressive loss of cognitive function over a period of several years. The risk of late onset dementia increases significantly with each decade of life such that half of the population over the age of 80 is vulnerable to this disease (1). We know that proper functioning of the central nervous system is dependent on adequate blood flow to remove harmful metabolic products and supply nutrients such as glucose and oxygen to the brain.
