Background: Pegylated interferon alpha (Peg-IFN-α) has the potential to eradicate hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). This study aimed to investigate whether the expression levels of lymphocyte antigen 6 family member E (LY6E) and tripartite motif-containing protein 6 (TRIM6) mRNAs in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg)-negative chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) patients is associated with the response to Peg-IFN-α treatment and HBsAg clearance.
Methods: In this prospective study, HBeAg-negative chronic HBV patients treated with Peg-IFN-α were followed for 48 weeks.
Background: Hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) has been proposed to be effective for treating chronic insomnia at high altitudes.
Methods: Patients suffering from chronic insomnia at high altitude were randomly assigned at a 1:1 ratio to either the hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) treatment group or the control group for a 10-day procedure. The primary outcome was insomnia status, which was assessed via the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI).
The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy of pullulan (PUL) based films incorporated with algae polyphenol extracts (APE) in preserving the freshness of porcine longissimus lumborum (PLL) during refrigerated storage at 4 °C for 7 d. Among 3 types of polysaccharides (tested konjac gum, soluble soybean polysaccharide, and PUL), the PUL-APE composite film demonstrated superior film performance. The effects of APE concentrations at 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 % (w/v) on the barrier, mechanical, physical, and optical properties of the developed films were evaluated while exploring intermolecular interactions between APE and polysaccharides.

Methods: Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography-Quadrupole-Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF-MS) was used to analyze the chemical composition of JNSF and its serum metabolites. Network pharmacology was performed to predict the potential target genes and pathways.
Purpose: Limited treatment options exist for refractory ovarian cancer (OC) due to its poor response to immune therapies. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop new effective treatment strategies. Chicoric acid (CA) is reported to have immune-enhancing properties, but its efficacy in cancer treatment is not well understood.
