Objective: Activation of type I interferon (IFN) response has been shown to correlate with disease activity in systemic sclerosis (SSc). It is currently unknown whether the tissue-specific type I IFN activation is a consequence of the response observed in blood or rather its source. Usutu virus (USUV) has been circulating in the Netherlands since 2016. Following the detection of WNV in the Netherlands, we investigated the possible use of petting zoos as urban sentinel sites to examine the extent of WNV and USUV circulation around the two WNV outbreak locations.

As a Zn-dependent JAMM/MPN DUB, BRCC36 is challenging to target with selective inhibitors.

- In a study of 124 OAMLs, researchers found that 5% expressed a high-affinity rheumatoid factor and that many had a specific bias toward using the IGHV4-34 immunoglobulin gene, which reacts with certain cellular epitopes.
- Additionally, some OAML-derived IgMs showed reactivity with proteins associated with autoimmune diseases, suggesting that local autoimmune responses contribute significantly to the development of a notable portion of OAMLs.
