- The study aims to assess how video sequences (cine-loops) affect the agreement between different observers when using risk stratification systems (RSSs) to evaluate thyroid nodules (TNs).
- Twelve experienced observers assessed twenty randomly selected TNs first using static ultrasound images and then again six months later using video sequences, with interobserver agreement measured using Fleiss' kappa (κ).
- Results showed that interobserver agreement was generally better with static images than cine-loops, although experienced observers in RSSs had less variability in assessments using both methods.
Background: To examine the applicability of the "taller than wide" (ttw) criterium for risk assessment of thyroid nodules (TNs) in primary/secondary care units and the role of thyroid scintigraphy therein.
Methods: German bicenter study performed in a setting of primary/secondary care. Patient recruitment and analysis in center A was conducted in a prospective manner.

Due to its dose dependent stimulating, relaxing or sedative effects, illicit abuses include recreational use by young people and cases of drug-facilitated crime (DFC).
