An interpretable framework for inter-observer agreement measurements in TILs scoring on histopathological breast images: A proof-of-principle study.

Breast cancer, a widespread and life-threatening disease, necessitates precise diagnostic tools for improved patient outcomes. Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes (TILs), reflective of the immune response against cancer cells, are pivotal in understanding breast cancer behavior. However, inter-observer variability in TILs scoring methods poses challenges to reliable assessments.

Evaluation of prognostic significance of histopathological characteristics and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes for pancreatic cancer survival.

With a 5-year survival of ˂ 10%, pancreatic cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths. Given the role of the distribution of tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TILs) subtypes in the tumor and its microenvironment in predicting prognosis, the development of new targeted therapies based on T-cell adaptive response has gained considerable attention. This study aimed to examine the peritumoral spread of TILs and its relationship with other prognostic parameters and survival.

Relationship between perceived social support and stoma self-efficacy in permanent colostomy patients: A correlational study.

Aim: In the context of adjusting to life with a permanent colostomy, this study explored how perceived social support from family, friends and others influences patients' self-efficacy in managing their stoma and engaging with their social lives.

Methods: The study employed a descriptive, correlational design to investigate the relationship between social support and self-efficacy in 94 colostomy patients between April 2021 and August 2022. Participants completed the Descriptive Characteristics Form, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and stoma self-efficacy scale (SSES).

Retrospective Evaluation of Cases Undergoing Stereotaxic Brain Biopsy.

 The aim of this study is to evaluate the demographic, radiological and histopathological findings, tumoral biomarkers, and survival rates of patients who underwent a stereotactic brain biopsy and those diagnosed with glioblastoma, metastasis, and lymphoma, and the changes in the diagnosis distribution over the years.  The patients who underwent stereotactic biopsy in our clinic between 2012 and 2020 were evaluated retrospectively. Metastasis, glioblastoma, and lymphoma cases were evaluated as three main groups and the others were excluded.
