Neonatal death of siblings with Uhl's disease and KCNH2 mutation - A rare association.

Uhl's disease is a rare disorder secondary to the uncontrolled destruction of right ventricular myocytes during the perinatal period. We present here the case of a 1-month-old child who died suddenly of Uhl's disease, which was only diagnosed at autopsy and histological examination. From an anamnestic point of view, the child's sister had also died at about 1 month of age from the same pathology.

Influence of oncology nurses' decision-making and personality traits on missed nursing care and related factors: A correlational study.

Purpose: To identify Missed Nursing Care (MNC) and related factors, as well as analyze the influence of nurses' decision-making and personality traits on MNC in two Portuguese hospitals dedicated to cancer care.

Methods: A cross-sectional, multicentric, descriptive-correlational study was conducted using a convenience sample of 298 nurses working in two hospitals dedicated to cancer care. Data were collected in the first semester of 2023 using a questionnaire that included sociodemographic and professional questions and the Portuguese versions of the MISSCARE Survey, the Nursing Decision-Making Instrument (NDMI-PT), and the Ten-Item Personality Inventory (TIPI-P).

Assessment of forensic medicine education impact on medical students' knowledge and specialisation attitudes: a multicenter analysis from Italian universities.

A Rare Case of Neonatal Death Due to a Cranial Vault Fracture Following the Use of Obstetric Vacuum Extractor and Review of Literature.

In the course of childbirth, if complications arise during the expulsion of the fetus, instruments can be employed to facilitate delivery. The vacuum extractor, or ventouse, is considered a relatively safe tool associated with a low rate of complications and mortality. However, it is crucial that the instrument be applied in the correct position and that the pulling force is not excessive to minimize damage to the fetal cranial structures.
