Often these are groups of specialists from various scientific fields who generate and share data of different formats and sizes. Without modern approaches to work automation and data versioning (where data from different collaborators are stored at different points in time), teamwork quickly devolves into unmanageable confusion.

Earlier studies aimed at investigating the metabolism of endogenous nucleoside triphosphates in synchronous cultures of cells revealed an auto-oscillatory mode of functioning of the pyrimidine and purine nucleotide biosynthesis system, which the authors associated with the dynamics of cell division. Theoretically, this system has an intrinsic oscillatory potential, since the dynamics of its functioning are controlled through feedback mechanisms. The question of whether the nucleotide biosynthesis system has its own oscillatory circuit is still open.

An increase in the prevalence of autosomal recessive deafness 1A (DFNB1A) in populations of European descent was shown to be promoted by assortative marriages among deaf people. Assortative marriages became possible with the widespread introduction of sign language, resulting in increased genetic fitness of deaf individuals and, thereby, relaxing selection against deafness. However, the effect of this phenomenon was not previously studied in populations with different genetic structures.

In this study, we collected and systemized diverse information related to depressive and anxiety disorders as the first step on the way to investigate the associations between molecular genetics, electrophysiological, behavioral, and psychological characteristics of people. Keeping that in mind, we developed an internet resource including a database and tools for primary presentation of the collected data of genetic factors, the results of electroencephalography (EEG) tests, and psychological questionnaires. The sample of our study was 1010 people from different regions of Russia.

Many processes in living organisms are subject to periodic oscillations at different hierarchical levels of their organization: from molecular-genetic to population and ecological. Oscillatory processes are responsible for cell cycles in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes, for circadian rhythms, for synchronous coupling of respiration with cardiac contractions, etc. Fluctuations in the numbers of organisms in natural populations can be caused by the populations' own properties, their age structure, and ecological relationships with other species.
