The constitutive androstane receptor (CAR) and the pregnane X receptor (PXR) are nuclear receptors that are involved in the regulation of gene transcription of enzymes that are responsible for biotransformation and excretion of endo- and xenobiotics. The goal of the work was to study the effect of DL-butyonine sulfoximine (BSO, gamma-glutamylcysteine synthetase inhibitor) on the relative amounts of CAR and PXR in Caco-2 cells and to clarify its mechanisms. BSO was used at concentrations of 1-500 μM for 24 and 72 h.

It is shown that the presence of biological and psychosocial factors in combination with enuresis in children necessitate antenatal consultations of obstetricians, pediatrists, psychologists and parents on prevention of enuresis in children, active screening-testing children with enuresis for dysfunction of the urinary bladder and psychoneurological disorders affecting harmonic development of personality in children.

Eighty-one normal subjects were taken as controls. New parameters of diagnostic significance were identified by automated reproduction of vectorcardiographic spatial QRSxyz loop (the Macfee-Parungao system) and computer analysis of vectorcardiographic parameters, that improve electrocardiographic diagnosis of cardiac hypertrophies, as compared to the conventional criteria, bringing its accuracy to 88.
