Background: Orthodontic treatment in adults with thin periodontal phenotype presents challenges such as lengthy treatment time and increased risk for gingival recessions. In this case, surgically facilitated orthodontic treatment (SFOT) was proposed to accelerate orthodontic tooth movement while modifying the periodontal phenotype.

Methods: An orthodontic patient was referred for periodontal evaluation of lower anterior teeth, which presented a thin gingival phenotype and bone dehiscence.

Vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (vEDS) is an autosomal dominant disorder that results from mutations in the collagen type III gene. It is a risk factor for medium-sized artery aneurysms, dissections, and ruptures. We report a case of hemoperitoneum due to medial dissection and rupture of the superior mesenteric artery related to vEDS.

Titanium has been proposed as a mesh material for guided bone regeneration (GBR) since the 1990s. To overcome difficulties in shaping and adapting meshes to the defect, digital techniques were introduced to digitally print meshes capable of fitting the bone perfectly, reproduced through the patient's CT scan. Five patients were included in this case series, and their CBCT data were acquired and sent to the producer of the titanium meshes.
