Cervical degenerative disc disease (DDD) is a condition in which the discs in the neck deteriorate, causing symptoms including neck and arm pain, muscle weakness, and incoordination. In severe cases, it can lead to nerve and spinal cord compression, resulting in radiculopathy and myelopathy. This review aimed to assess the effectiveness of two surgical treatments, anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and cervical disc arthroplasty (CDA), for addressing cervical DDD, radiculopathy, and myelopathy.

Vertebrobasilar insufficiency (VBI) is a significant medical condition that results from a lack of adequate blood flow to the posterior circulation of the brain. The first-line treatment involves the use of antiplatelet therapy, but in cases where patients are not responsive to drug therapy, surgical management is the next viable option. In the past, open endarterectomy was the preferred surgical approach for treating critical VBI patients.

Background: Calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease (CPPD), also known as "pseudogout," is a crystal deposition arthropathy involving the synovial and periarticular tissues. Pseudogout rarely presents in the axial spine. Here, we present the case of an 80-year-old female patient admitted after a mechanical fall, initially misdiagnosed on computed tomography (CT)/magnetic resonance studies with cervical osteodiscitis/ventral epidural abscess that proved to be pseudogout.

The phenotypic description is the oldest method for animal taxonomic studies. In this study, we report phenotypic traits of discriminant power to assign sheep individuals into Awassi breed or other exotic breeds found in Jordan. Twenty-two and 19 phenotype traits for ewes and rams, respectively, were utilized using multivariate and discriminant analyses.
